An amazing goal was scored by Gael Clichy!
The French left-back and former player of… Arsenal’s unbeaten 2004 and Manchester City team, who now wears their shirt napkins, scored a stunning goal in his team’s game against Sion last weekend.
Stealing the ball in the midfield area, he saw the Greek goalkeeper out, Alexander Safarika and the “hang up”, scoring one of the home team’s five goals. The remarkable thing, however, is that he made this choice, after fan message of Servet on Social Media, who sent him his previous match: “It doesn’t matter if you don’t see it, but the opposing goalkeeper tends to leave his position often.”
“I received a message on Instagram from a fan of the team who wrote to me that the opposing goalkeeper never keeps his position”, Clichy said after the match.
As far as he is concerned Alexandros Safarikas, the 23-year-old goalkeeper comes from Volos and has been playing in the Swiss league for the last six years.
