Olympiacos took the first step towards the tenth consecutive championship in A1 women’s polo!

The “red and white” prevailed 13-9 of Vouliagmeni in the first match of the finals series in Papastrateio.

The second match of the series will take place on Thursday (18/5) at 18:00 at the swimming pool of Laimos, where Vouliagmeni will chase the equalizer and Olympiacos is looking for the break to take a decisive step for the title.

Ciric’s side were in control of the match throughout, despite conceding five missed penalties (1/6).

In the first eight minutes he led 5-3 and reached +3 (6-3) at the beginning of the second period. Vouliagmeni went on a three-goal run to tie the game at 6-6, but Olympiacos answered again for a 8-6 halftime lead.

In the third period he increased the difference again to three goals (9-6) and kept the difference in his favor until the final 13-9.
