The first “chosen” of the National Women’s Volleyball team for the European Championship

by

The federal coach of the National Women’s Volleyball Team, Yunus Ocal, at the initial stage of preparation for the European Championship will work with athletes “who are candidates to be in the National Team and I want to see how ready they are for the first team. Some of them will be together afterwards. This year, we have the peculiarity that we only participate in one tournament, the European finals, and we do not have the possibility to do the tests we did last year, for example in the Mediterranean Games.

The Greek championship is very important and I don’t want the gymnasts to do nothing after the games. Some have played really well all season and I want to see them, but also let them know that they have a chance to be in the National team.

For sure, there will also be girls from abroad and I am sure that it will be a very good starting group that will help us and then to do a good job in view of the European”.
