With 102 entries, the 5km qualifying race will be held tomorrow (27/5) in Votsalakia, Piraeus. for the National swimming marathon teams that will represent our country in the events of 2023. The start for the boys is scheduled at 12.00, while for the girls at 13.30.
The events for which the athletes of the qualifying race claim participation:
Men’s-Women’s World Championships (Fukuoka, July 15-20)
World Coastal Games (Bali, August 5-12)
Mediterranean Coastal Games (Heraklion, September 9-16)
European Youth Championship (Corfu, September 29-October 1)
Mediterranean Cup (Larnaka, October 7-8)
The organization is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Piraeus and the Region of Attica, while earlier (10.30) the Revival Race of the Classic Olympic route of 1896, total distance of 1,200 meters, will be held. The event is part of the panorama of events “Sea Days 2023” of the Municipality of Piraeus.
It is recalled that on these days the Panhellenic open sea swimming championship in all categories was scheduled to take place in the same location, but the KOE postponed it to September, citing “objective problems”.
