Nikos Gardikas will be competing in the cap of Apollon Smyrnis at least next season, with the amphibious “light brigade” renewing its cooperation with another “weapon” of the team.
Somehow, after coach Nikos Deligiannis and Galanopoulos, Bogdanovich, Apollon signed another very important player.

One of its basic offensive (and not only) “weapons” is maintained by the… amphibious “light brigade”. GS Apollon Smyrnis announces the renewal of its partnership with Nikos Gardikas for the 2023-2024 season as well!
The 25-year-old (next August) regional will continue to wear for the 3rd year in a row the “blue and white” cap, with which he excelled this year both in Greece and in Europe.
In the team’s triumphant journey to winning the Challenger Cup, Nikos Gardikas scored 35 goals in 14 games, some of which were very critical, being the second scorer in Europe behind Nikola Bogdanovic who had 42!
At the same time in Greece he scored 57 in the Championship and two more in the Cup, having a total production of 94 goals in the season! Of course, it wasn’t just his personal offensive contribution to Apollo’s game, as he made sure, as always, to be a team player by handing out assists to his teammates and declaring his omnipresence in defense.
The excellent season he had also led the Federal coach, Thodoris Vlachos, to invite him again this year – as well as this time together with his teammates Solanakis, Alamanos and Goniotakis – to the preparation camps of the National Men’s team, in which he had participated in the past and as a player of Palaio Faliros.
