Panathinaikos K19 celebrated qualifying for the semi-finals of the ICGT tournament, with the “three-leaf clovers” making the upset against Manchester United (2-1) and advancing to the four best teams of the competition.

“The presence of Panathinaikos U19 in the famous ICGT tournament, which is being held in Utchest, Holland for the 36th season, is impressive. The Greens of Vangelis Samios and Andreas Drenova performed excellently in all three games of the group stage and with a score of two wins and a draw, they finished first and took the ticket to the semi-finals, where on Monday (29/5) they will face the Dutch Alkmaar, owner of this year’s UEFA Youth League.
Trefoil unfolded its rich talent on the field, drew (0-0) with Fitese being superior, dominated Utchest 3-0 and in the match-final against Manchester United celebrated a great victory (2-1) making a big turnaround in the second half although they found themselves behind in the score.

Panathinaikos – Fitese 0-0
In Panathinaikos’ opening match of the tournament, although the Greens were tied at 0-0, they were superior to Fitese and could have celebrated the victory. In fact, they had some classic chances, especially in the first half, with Bilal, Dambiza and Volakis.

In the third qualifying game of the group, the Greens faced Manchester United, who they defeated 2-1 in an upset. The Red Devils closed the first half with a goal from Matteo Saiss but the Greens turned it around in the second half to celebrate a great victory that earned them a place in the final stage and top spot in the group. Dabizas with a wonderful free kick and Bilal with an ideal finish scored the two goals of the upset that gave Trefoil a great qualification.
