We will have changes to the format of the Elite League next season. The leaders of the EEC met at noon on Tuesday with the teams of the second division and several things were decided for the improvement of the league in the next season.
Thus, it was decided to hold a Play In tournament, in which the 7-10 ranked teams of the regular season will participate. The winner of the 7-8 pair will take seventh place and secure their presence in the Play Offs, while the eighth place will be decided by the game between the loser of 7-8 and the winner of 9-10.
In terms of how the Play Offs are conducted, the teams will carry over the results of the regular season, but if the scores between them are 1-1, the qualification will be decided on the three wins. In case the series is at 2-0, qualification will be decided on the four wins.
The Federation will also change the system in the Final 4. So in the semi-finals we will not have 1-4 vs. 2-3, but the first will face the second and the third will face the fourth. The winner of the 1-2 tie will take first place and direct promotion to the Basket League, while second place will be decided between the loser of 1-2 and the winner of 3-4.
Finally, as far as foreign players are concerned, two remain in each team.
