Red Star GM: “We will not back down on the issue with Adriatic – We want Campazzo to stay”

by

Everyone is in a frenzy Red Star.

The Serbian team has an open issue with the Adriatic League, with whom it has clashed over scheduling.

The GM of the team, Nemanya Vasilievichspoke to Mozzart Sport about this issue, but also about the future of some of the “red and white” players.

In detail what he said:

For the Adriatic league: “Our priority is to win the domestic league and we will always participate there, along with the Serbian Cup. We have never backed down, even when we were in a worse position, while others have not played in the Serbian League for two years. Should there be a date change in the Serbian league now? No way. Our statement was clear and those who see things realistically must have recognized it as the only logical solution. Otherwise, we will finish the Adriatic on June 22 and then immediately start the Serbian league, finishing the season in early July.”

For the future of Campazzo, Dobrich, Mitrovic: “There were rumors of an agreement for Campazo to go to Real Madrid. We really want to keep him. We presented him with a proposal for next season a while ago and he said we will discuss it after the current season. He is focused on the Adriatic league and wants to win it. Regardless, we will put together a strong squad but, again, our focus is to have as many homegrown players as possible. For Mitrovic, Dobrich, we want them both to stay. We are in discussions for new contracts and hope for a positive outcome. They are children of the Red Star.”
