Kourbelis: “Panathinaikos is an important part of me and that doesn’t change – Time for a new step”

Dimitris Kourbelis made sure to get his own final titles after 6.5 years of cooperation with Panathinaikos today (06/06).

With a message he posted on his personal Instagram account, the 29-year-old midfielder wanted to express his gratitude for everything he experienced in the “clover” and at the same time thank everyone he worked with over the years.

We remind you that Koirbelis has agreed to continue his career in Turkey, with the Trabzonspor jersey.

His message in detail:

“It’s time to say goodbye. Difficult and emotionally charged. It could not be otherwise, as Panathinaikos is an important part of both my career and my life. And that’s not going to change.

He gave me a lot, supported me in difficult times, helped me become a better player, a more mature person. Supplies, memories and feelings that will accompany me.

I hope that I, in turn, helped the team with my presence, my decisions, my contribution and I wish from the bottom of my heart the best for Panathinaikos. I am grateful to have been a member and leader of such a great team.

I want to thank those who stood by me from 2017 until today. For better and for worse. My teammates, the coaches, the people who work hard behind the lights so that the footballers have everything. The management of the club and of course the people.

Unfortunately nothing lasts forever. Especially in football. The time has come for a new step. With respect and love for the past, dreams and aspirations for the future.
