Vamvakaris returns to Greece for P. Faliro

Kostas Vamvakaris will continue his coaching career at P. Faliro. The southern suburbs team announced the hiring of the Greek technician for next year, with the experienced technician leaving the bench of the Egyptian national team and Al Ahli and returning to his homeland, having the role of technical director.

In detail, the announcement:

“The water polo department with perspective and vision will continue next year with Kostas Vamvakaris as technical director of the department and coach of its men’s team in the A1 national category.

The P. Faliros Sports Club announces that the water polo department will continue with perspective and vision in the next sports year in the A1 men’s category

national category, with the technical director of the department and the head of its men’s team, Kostas Vamvakaris, a highly accomplished and experienced coach, TEFAA graduate, with a rich, multi-year and substantial coaching project in the field of water polo in Greece, but also abroad.

He has had a great coaching career, having worked as a federal coach in the Greek Men’s National Team, the Great Britain Women’s National Team with great success, while his international journey continued in Andalar, Turkey. Afterwards, the experienced coach returned to Greece for National Piraeus, with whom he participated in the European Cups and his last stop, before A.O.P Faliros, was initially the national men’s team of Egypt, but also the Egyptian club of Al Ahly, in which he had an important role as technical director and coach in the team’s academies.

Kostas Vamvakaris and the lively potential of the department, with the undivided support of the Board of Directors, will attempt to strengthen and better organize the department with an emphasis on infrastructure and commitment to the principles of amateur, quality and organized sports”.
