Qualification for Greece in the next phase of the Mini Football World Cup

First goal achieved! Greece won the first 2 matches in a packed stadium in Essen, Germany with around 1,500 Greek fans on their side and took the 2nd place in the group, which allows them to dream.

Giorgos Bastakis’ men achieved a big victory in Friday’s opener against Italy 4-1 in a match highlighted by the energy of goalkeeper Giorgos Kalamaridis who scored from 40 meters with an elusive lob.

In the next match on Sunday, Greece relatively comfortably defeated Saudi Arabia 7-1 and Raphael Tousa was included in the dream team of the 3rd matchday with the 2 goals he scored and his overall performance.

In the match that decided the championship, the Greek team did not manage to get the victory against Belgium, although they managed to respond to the first goals they conceded, losing in the details with a score of 4-2.

The Hellenic mini football team is now waiting to know their opponent ahead of next Friday for the knockout phase of the “32”. This will emerge from Group F and is expected to be one of the teams from Portugal, Albania and Moldova.
