Gianni Infantino: FIFA president moves to Qatar!

by

In a move that until recently was categorically denied but has now been confirmed, he proceeded Gianni Infantino causing a new uproar around his name. The president of FIFA has moved to Qatar for a reasonable period of time, home where the World Cup will be hosted in November 2022. In fact, he has gone there with his family, with his two daughters going to school there.

The official justification for the move of the 51-year-old Italian-Swiss is to be in closer cooperation with the organizers of the World Cup and to solve the problems that arise more immediately. However, his decision to stay in Qatar permanently, something that FIFA circles had categorically denied until recently, came to provoke much discussion, as Infantino remains under investigation for assigning the event to the Arabs, as there have been allegations, suspicions and scandals of bribery of himself.

Among other things, FIFA’s decision not only to initially award the World Cup, but also to keep it in Qatar despite the serious problems that arose from the beginning (such as the “relocation” of the event in the winter), has caused criticism for humanitarian issues. The Guardian reported in a recent report that 6,500 migrants had lost their lives in infrastructure working for crumbs in inhumane conditions, although FIFA had officially recognized only 34 deaths directly related to the projects.
