As it was known a while ago, Chris Coleman will continue to be in the technical leadership of Atromitos.
The team of Peristeri issued announcementwith the Welshman also making his first statements.
The team announcement in detail:
PAE Atromitos is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with its coach, Chris Coleman, for another year and in this way he will guide our team for the new season.
The Welsh coach took over “Asteri” in January 2022 in a very difficult period, however he managed through his work and personality to put it back on a trajectory that fully corresponds to the history of the team, with principles and values that are in perfect harmony with the Fearless.
With this development, Chris Coleman will be the man from the bench to guide Atromitos in the club’s 100th birthday year, which is a special honor for him as well.
The coach of our team has completed 57 matches in his 1.5 years of presence in Peristeri and with the renewal of his contract he is setting his sights on becoming one of the longest serving in the history of our team.
After the formal completion of the agreement with Atromitos, Chris Coleman spoke to atromitosfc.gr, sending the message about the challenges of the next season.
“I am really very happy to stay at Atromitos, in a year that marks the club’s 100th anniversary. It speaks volumes for this team, it’s a great achievement and I’m honored to coach them in such a special season.
I want to say a big “thank you” to the president, Giorgos Spanos, to the technical director, Yiannis Angelopoulos, for all the efforts they made during this time to continue together. I have been in Greece and in Peristeri for 1.5 years now.
During this time, I feel everyone here like a family. The staff, the commanders, everyone. And of course the fans. From the first moment they have loved me and I have loved them and together we can have Atromitos in a very strong position and improve.
The new season brings new challenges. We are called to build a new team for which we must all make sacrifices in order to lead it where it needs to be. At the end of the day we all have to do the right thing for the good of the Fearless.
I can’t wait to return to Peristeri to start work and together with the friends of the team to fight for the best possible in the 100 years of our team.
Let’s go Fearless!’
