Hermis Schimatariou: Bryant renewed

Ermis Schimatariou is pleased to announce the extension of his partnership with Zach Bryant for the 2023-2024 season in the Elite League. With the finale of this year’s season, our team set as a top goal the stay of the American guard, building the new season’s roster on him. It was a burning desire of our family to continue our collaboration with him and we joined hands for another season. Bryant’s presence in our team and the new season is a huge success for our club, as he was among the top players in the division in the second half of the 2022-2023 season.

Zach Bryant was born on November 24, 1997 (age 25) in Florida, United States of America, he is 1.88m tall and plays guard. He played collegiately at Georgia South in the 2020-21 season, where he averaged 13.6 points in 21 games, shooting 49.3% from the field and 33.8% from three. At the same time, he counted 2.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals.

Bryant’s Who’s Who on European soil:

In the 2021-22 season he moved to Germany for BG Goettingen, in the first division of the country and in 5 games he averaged 5 points and 2.4 assists. In December 2021, he moved to the Finnish Lahti and in 8 games he averaged 21 points, 3.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds, having 61.8% on two-pointers and 41.9% on three-pointers. One year later, specifically in February 2022, he found himself in historic Cantu, on Italy’s A2. In 22 games, he averaged 11.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In fact, with the jersey of the Italian team, he recorded a career high, as in the match against Piacenza, he scored 40 points and 10 rebounds. In the current competitive season, he started in Poland’s Czarny, with whom he averaged 10.2 points (45.2% on 2-pointers and 41.7% on 3-pointers), 3.5 assists, 3 rebounds and 0.9 steals. With the Polish club, he also competed at the European Cup level, averaging 13 points, 3 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

In December 2022, he joined our Ermis family and contributed the most to our team’s path to staying in the Elite League and entering the playoffs. Bryant averaged 21.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.2 steals.
