Attack with fists was received by a doctor at the Papageorgiou hospital in Thessaloniki, because he did not give a false license to a woman, who aimed to avoid the electoral commission.

According to the information, the woman went with her husband to the emergency room of the hospital and asked for a discharge paper, as she had been appointed as a member of the electoral committee.

The doctor, however, did not accept, as a result of which he punch in the neck.

“I told her that this is an illegal act and that we are not going to do it. We offered to look into it and if there was an issue, only then would we grant it the license. However, he did not accept it”, the doctor-victim of the attack, Apostolos Anthopoulos, reported to ThessToday.gr, emphasizing that the sequel was episodic.

“He got upset, initially he hurled verbal threats at me. He moved sharply towards me and finally proceeded to assault me, in particular I received two or three blows. The citizens intervened and removed her in the first phase, while her husband in a strong tone urgently requested the granting of the permit”, Mr. Anthopoulos emphasized.

The doctor responded with a lawsuit

Both the Greek Police and the Administration of Papageorgiou were notified of the incident, while the doctor filed a lawsuit against the woman.
