His player PAOK is again the Michalis Tsairelis. The 35-year-old center (2.08m.) signed for Dikephalos of the North and returns to the Thessaloniki team after nine years.
Last season he played for Prometheus averaging 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 13:32 in the Basket League, while he averaged 4.8 points per game in the Eurocup.

KAE PAOK announces the agreement with Michalis Tsairelis, who returns to our team after 9 years and the successful cooperation of the two years 2012-14. Michalis will wear the black and white jersey for the next two years. We welcome him again to the PAOK family.
Michalis Tsairelis was born in Thessaloniki on February 23, 1988, he is 2m.08 tall and plays as a center, while he can also play in the “4” position. He started from Apollon Kalamarias and at the age of 19 he competed for Aris (2007-08). This was followed by one season at AE Larissa, one year at Trikala and two years at Aris (2010-12). In the following two years (2012-14), playing for the first time with PAOK, Tsairelis showed significant improvement in all areas of his game. He finished his first season (2012-13) with 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and renewed his partnership with PAOK, to skyrocket his performance and numbers the following year (2013-14). He averaged 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 35 league games and had a significant contribution to the 3rd place finish.
He left PAOK, as he found a contract in Spain and with Iberostar Tenerife (2015-16) and returned to Greece in February 2015 to play for Olympiakos, with which he became Greek champion for two years (2015 & 2016).
In the intervening years until today, he competed in Aris (2016-18), Prometheus of Patras (2018-19), Hephaistos Limnos (2019-20), Heraklis (2020-21) and Peristeri in the second part of the same season (2020-21), while in the 2021-22 season he was in Larissa and under the instructions of coach Fotis Takianos, he reached the 4th place of the Basket League.
During last season he played for Prometheus of Patras (4.75 points and 2.2 rebounds, with 13:32 minutes of participation in 24 league games and 4.8 points in 13:53 minutes of participation in 16 games in the Eurocup).
His steady and upward trajectory has enabled him to compete 5 times with the Men’s National Team, with his last participations in the “windows” in November 2022 and in matches for the 2023 Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.
