After Wrexham football, o Ryan Reynolds expands its investment actions in the field of sports. The Canadian actor, known for his role as Deadpool and beyond, is member of an investment group that acquired a 24% stake in Alpine paying €200m to her team Formula 1.
The investment group consists of the companies Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Effort Investments. RedBird owns football Liverpool and the Boston Red Sox in baseball, while he also owns shares in two other soccer teams, AC Milan and Toulouse.
Maximum Effort Investments is owned by Reynolds and the Rob McElhenywho have bought Wrexham, while the actor also belongs to the same scheme as a shareholder Michael B. Jordanknown for his role as a boxer in the Creed film series (which is something of a sequel to Rocky).
Alpine has its own pilots Pierre Gasly and Sebastian Ocon in the current Formula 1 championship, where she is fifth in the constructors’ standings after eight races. Ocon is ninth with 29 points, while Gasly is tenth with 15.
