THE George Kalaitzis he will not continue in his academies Panathinaikou, leaving the club after eight years, in which he worked among other things as a member of the technical team. The former international guard, who as a player won two Euroleagues and eight championships among others.
In his message, he thanked the team for the cooperation and emphasized that he only keeps the good feelings from their shared journey.
“I feel the need to publicly thank KAE Panathinaikos for completing our partnership after eight years.
My involvement with the Academy and also with the Men’s team filled me with experiences and knowledge that I will carry inside me forever.
“Looking” back I see wins and losses, successes and failures, laughs and cries, joys and sorrows. But the most important thing is that I see friends and colleagues who with dignity and respect will continue the work that we all started together.
I see happy children who, through basketball, acquire values ​​for their future.
I also see the gratitude in their parents’ eyes and feel proud.
But what has really filled my soul all these years, is the creation of basketball sections for children on the autism spectrum!
So only beautiful feelings. After 17 years in total, nine as a player and eight in the Academy, I feel part of the club’s history!
