Zeka: “Panathinaikos is my home – They want a little more for the championship”

by

He came home of o Zeca Gonsalvesas he told the press envoys in Austria, on the occasion of his return to Panathinaikos!

The international expatriate midfielder stood parallel to the hard work he has “put in” after his injury to be… combative again.

While he did not fail to express his desire to be combined with his renewed presence in Panathinaikos by winning the next league…

Zeka’s statements in detail:

-On his return after a long time and how he saw himself in the first friendly:

“I’m very happy that I got into the friendly and could play some minutes, because I missed it a lot. And I’ve been working for months to be able to play again and I’m so glad I went in and nothing happened. And little by little I will get better…”

-On the fact that 2,130 days have passed since his last match with Panathinaikos and how he felt wearing the “clover” again:

“As I’ve said before, it was something I really wanted when I left the team… I only feel pride, joy. Because this is where I am at home, this is where I feel good and this is where I want to win and give joy to the world.”

-On how different things are now at Panathinaikos compared to how they were when he left in 2017:

“(s.s. laughs) You (s.s. journalists) know very well. There is improvement, I am happy to be back and things are different, in the team, in the training centre. The team has played very well in recent years, won the Cup last year and went on to win the league last year. A lot has changed, but it needs a little more to win what we all want and hopefully it will be this year. We will definitely give everything to win it…”
