The former NBAer has a closed contract until 2025 with the “Blaugrana” and this means that in order to leave he will have to collect a certain amount, which the team is obliged to pay him.

So, according to “AS”, Barcelona has filed already four proposals to Mirotic to terminate his contract as well he has rejected them all!

In fact, the only counterproposal that the player’s side has made and is currently adamant, is to collect the full amount to which he is entitled for the two years remaining on his contract. As stated in the specific publication, this amount is 22 million euros!

According to his contract, Mirotic receives 11 million euros annually from Barcelona. A large part of the amount is to cover the tax and thus the Montenegrin bank account is “clean” close to 5.5 million euros.

Apparently, the player’s side is not willing to back down and looks ready to take it to… extremes. Of course, it is not improbable that this particular case will even end up in the courts.

In the meantime, Barcelona from this summer has decided to reduce its budget by about 1/3. According to the calculations, that is, from 40 million euros which was until now, from next season it will be at 27 million euros.
