The name is changing Europe Conference League! THE UEFA confirmed that you will be renamed to UEFA Conference Leaguetaking out, essentially, the “Europe” from the organization.
UEFA introduced the Conference on 2021 as the third tier European competition below the Champions League and the Europa League. It has proved successful, with Roma lifting the first title in 2021-22 before West Ham took it in 2022-23. The competition will have a new name from the 2024-25 season, however, as UEFA’s executive committee decided – and voted – on Wednesday.
The relevant announcement emphasizes, among other things:The new competition, introduced under the “Europa” umbrella at the start of the 2021-24 commercial cycle, quickly established itself among a wide audience after two successful seasons.
Research among fans and commercial partners showed that removing ”Europa” from the name will allow its further development as an autonomous organization and this proposed change was approved by UEFA’s executive committee. It will come into effect in the new cycle, from the 2024-25 season.
Along with the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Conference League will continue to offer “Thursday Night Football” to fans across Europe and beyond».
