On May 18, 2024, the final of the Novibet Greek Cup will be held

With a statement issued on Thursday afternoon (29/06), the Hellenic Football Federation announced the decisions taken by executive committee.



According to them, his final Greek Cup Novibet of the new season will be held on May 18, 2024while, regarding the stadium that will host the event in question, it will be decided at the next meeting of the executive committee.

At the same time, it unanimously approved the start and running dates of its new league Super League 1, August 19-20including Friday, August 18, 2023, as well as some changes in her league 3rd National Division.

Detailed decisions of the EPO Executive Committee:



The Executive Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation, during today’s meeting, took the following decisions.

1. Approved the decisions-recommendations of the Professional Football Committee which met earlier and which took the following decisions:

– Unanimously approved the start and running dates of the new Super League 1 championship of the 2023-2024 season which will begin on the weekend of August 19-20, 2023, including Friday August 18, 2023.

-Approved the proposal of the Organizing Committee to hold the Final of the next edition of the Greek Cup on May 18, 2024 and to take a decision on the seat at the next meeting of the E.U.

-Approved with the necessary additions and changes the draft of the Regulation of Football Games.

-Approved with the necessary additions and changes the draft of the Regulations on the Property & Transfers of Football Players.

2. Approved the proposal of the Organizing Committee for the championship of the 3rd National Division. According to this, in the 2023-2024 season the championship will be held in four (4) groups and the champion teams of each group will be promoted to the higher division, i.e. four (4) teams. A total of thirty (30) teams will be relegated to the local leagues, the bottom seven (7) teams in each group will be directly relegated if and as long as the number of teams in each group is 18. In addition, two (2) teams that will be relegated will be relegated as follows: One (1) team – the loser – resulting from a play-off match between the 11th placed teams in the 1st and 2nd groups and one (1) team – the loser – resulting from a play-off match between the teams that will occupy 11th place in the 3rd and 4th groups. The play-off matches above will be held on neutral courts, they will be single and if the regular time ends in a tie there will be a half-hour overtime and if there is no winner in the half-hour overtime, a penalty shoot-out will follow to determine the winner. A total of thirty (30) teams will be relegated.

A total of twenty-four (24) teams will be promoted from the EPS championships to the 3rd National Division for the 2023-2024 season. These will arise as follows: The fifty-three (53) Champion teams of the E.P.S. and the three (3) Secondary teams of the founding Associations, i.e. a total of fifty-six (56) teams, will take part in the qualifying matches for promotion to the 3rd National category. They will form 8 groups of 7 teams each, from which the first three (3) teams of the final ranking from each group will advance.

The deadline for registration is Thursday, July 20, 2023.

3. To renew for one month the contracts of the Greek members of the Central Arbitration Committee.
