The “yellows” announced that the 36-year-old ace has signed a new one-year contract with the club, with him declaring “I am attached to the team and the world”.
The former ace – in order – of PAOK, Panathinaikos, AEK, Olympiakos and Atromitos moved to Aris in February 2023 and during this time made 13 appearances.

Immediately after signing his new contract, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos told arisfc.com.gr:
“The new contract I am signing with ARIS is a special moment for me. For this reason I wanted to have with me my wife Vasso and our two children Raffaelo and Stella, who have been so supportive from the very beginning.
This year, after a long journey in football, I complete twenty years of professional career and this has a special symbolism for me. In this course of twenty years I have experienced everything, I do not lack anything.
However, my thirst to continue playing football at a high level and to claim goals remains the same as when I started my career.
I wanted to stay at ARIS because this first semester I bonded with the team, the world and of course Thessaloniki. My family wanted the same. In the new season people will see the real Lazarus because I have been with the team since the beginning of the preparation and I work hard, like all the guys.
