PAOK announced Kalomiro

Yannis Kalomiiros became a PAOK handball player again. AS announced the acquisition of the 25-year-old left winger for the next year, in order to strengthen the “wings” of the attack, with the player returning to the “two-headed” after five years and after a three-year stint at AEK.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the men’s handball department announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Yiannis Kalomoiros, for the 2023-2024 season.

Born on 23/05/1998, Yiannis Kalomiiros plays as a left winger and is 194cm tall.

He took his first steps as a professional at AESH Pylaias, with which he recorded his first appearances in the Handball Premier.

In the 2017-18 season he competed for the first time in PAOK, with whom he played in the EHF Challenge Cup, getting his first performances from the European competitions.

He then followed a new two-year spell (2018-20) at AESH Pylaias, with which he performed excellently.

From 2020 until last season (2023) he competed with the AEK jersey. In his first season at AEK, he won the treble, while last season he added another championship to his collection.

He is an international player with the men’s national team of our country.

Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Yiannis Kalomiiros stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy about this new challenge. I want to thank the management and the technical staff for their trust. I know most of my teammates well, as well as the coach, with whom we have worked together successfully in the past. I wish you a full year, with health and beautiful handball”.
