Leclerc: “I’m happy to be back on the podium – The team did a great job with the upgrades”

For upgrades: “I believe that today and Friday we maximized our performance. On Saturday I was out of rhythm. I’m happy to be back on the podium, the upgrades made me feel good in the conditions we had and that’s positive for the future. The team did a great job with the upgrades, but we still have a lot of work to do because Verstappen and Perez had a lot more speed than us.”

On his battle at the start and during the race with Verstappen: “We struggle a lot in the dirty air and I tried to pass him to get a better position on the track. We knew that in the race it would be difficult to keep Verstappen behind me with his pace but I tried. At least I’m back on the podium, which is good. I had some tough matches.”

For the race at Silverstone: “It is, along with Austria, one of my favorite tracks. We always do well there and I hope we can compete with Red Bull with our performance there.”
