“There are good times and bad times in an athlete’s life. At Olympiakos, after my return, I experienced three years full of titles and successes, a three years that we started with the team competing only in the Euroleague and ended up with a back 2 back double in Greece and the world following and supporting the team everywhere.
We experienced the recognition at the top of the Euroleague, the establishment in the Final 4, the acceptance by all opponents.
Today our paths with Olympiakos part. My unlimited respect for the Angelopoulos brothers was not imposed. He was inspired. That is why we spent so many hours in the recent meeting looking for a solution. We all had the same goal in the team, so we went ahead, we succeeded, because whether we lost or won, we always did it together.
As things have turned out, I feel that I have not been able to inspire the same respect for everyone.
However, a bitterness in the finale does not change three wonderful years. I leave full and with a quiet conscience that I did what I could and more by honoring the shirt, fighting with my teammates, the world and the management who trusted me at a difficult time for the organization.
