THE Panathinaikos …triggered the bigger one transfer “bomb” of recent years, with the “green” KAE announcing at noon on Saturday (07/08) the acquisition of Kostas Sloukas for the next three years!
Speaking on the air of News Bulletin 247 and with Aris Asvesta, o Tolis Kotzias made his own comment on this huge development that seems to be changing radically the competitive level of the “greens”.
Specifically, he emphasized, among other things, that: “Bomb of the decade and something. This transfer has many aspects. I did not expect such a development, for Panathinaikos to make such a huge transfer, to do such magic. I didn’t think Slukas would go to the “greens”. The player was very close to returning to Fener all this time. Panathinaikos dropped a bomb on European basketball and the words of Dimitris Giannakopoulos about a strong club seem to be coming true.”
He then referred to the player’s competitive profile as well what does Panathinaikos “get” from this transfer: “At the end of the story, actions count and Panathinaikos made a huge transfer with a player. Besides, there are no players in the market like Sluka. Itoudis had bet a lot on Slukas to get him to Fener. The options from the NBA are minimal for the guard positions.”
