This was revealed by the team’s general manager, John Horstspeaking to Athleticstressing that the Bucks will do everything in order to achieve a new renewal of Giannis’ contract!
The question, put to Horst, was: Speaking of which, next window, Giannis Antetokounmpo will be eligible for an extension in September. Is that in your thought process and decision making as you try to make moves as a general manager?
With the general manager answering:This is our job. I believe it is the most incredible man, superstar, teammate, leader, in all sports and we are incredibly blessed to have him. It is a great responsibility to win every year to be able to keep him. This is my job and responsibility, it’s my chance, his and the team’s.
