An employee of Manchester City stole thousands of euros from the club to organize her wedding!

A former employee of hers Manchester Citywho stole more than 121,528 euros from the club, to pay for her wedding, she only has to pay back €2,979, according to the Sun. THE Fiona Barclay34, worked as a business development manager in the hospitality division of the Premier League champions, earning up to 35,056 euros annually.

Fiona is a mother of one child and jailed in November last year for fraud after stealing huge sums from Manchester City to fund their big day and buy luxury gifts for her husband and family.

However, she has now been ordered to pay back just €2,979 following her hearing. She was updated when she appeared via video from her hometown of Falkirk in Scotland. The hearing began with Barclay being asked if she was alone, before telling the judge she had her seven-week-old baby with her.

But after an investigation the club discovered Barkley had been stealing from them since June 2019 over 121,000 euros in total. She was found guilty of fraud by abuse of position and was dismissed from the City squad in March 2021.
