Ali Samata promised to give everything for PAOK, speaking on the club’s online channel.
“I am ready to fight, I am ready to… die for the club and I will always be there when PAOK needs me“, said the Tanzanian forward.
What he said in detail
On how he lived all these days until he was transferred to PAOK: “I feel good and I’m happy to be here now. A few weeks ago, and from the first moment I heard about the interest, I was ready to come. PAOK is a great club with history, so yes, I was happy to find out that they want me to come here and I was ready to come from the first moment I heard about it.”
On whether he talked to anyone before making the decision: “Yes, with my good friend, Dimitris Pelkas. We spoke a week ago and he told me only good things about the club and I was very happy. He is an honest person and I trust him. So I was ready to come, after his words.”
For the main reason he chose PAOK: “I know they are a very big club in Europe. They are a team with a long history, when a club like PAOK wants you, you don’t need much thought. I feel very good to be here.”
About his racing profile: “First of all I am aggressive. I like to use my speed. I also have quality with both my feet and the head as well. So yeah, I think you should expect me to use my speed, execute with both feet, with my head. I like to score, so I’ll often be in front of goal trying to find a chance.”
For his current physical condition: “I’ll leave it to the coach. To be honest, I’m coming from a holiday, so I think I’ll have a training session with the manager and he will decide if I’m ready or if I need more time to join the team. I am available to the coach.”
Regarding the pressure on PAOK: “I’m a guy who likes to fight. I think that no player can do it alone, but I think that with a team and everyone by our side we will achieve what we want to achieve during the season. I’m ready to fight, I’m ready to… die for the club and I’ll always be there when PAOK needs me.”
For the message to PAOK fans: “I’m a fighter. I am the player who gives 100% for the team. I am the player who gives his blood and sweat to make sure the team wins. I love them and I will give my best for them.”
