The great transfers in Turkey continue, with the Basaksehir to announce its acquisition Christoph Piontek.
THE Polish striker had been released from Hertha Berlin and signed three-year contract with the Istanbul team, in which he will try to revive his career.
The 28-year-old forward played last year in Italy on loan at Salernitanawith which he scored four goals in 33 appearances, while previously he had also passed through the Fiorentina.
Piontek had… stirred up the waters in 2018, when it had done terrible things with Genoascoring 19 times in 21 matches in the first half of the season.
Performances that had brought the transfer to Milan for €35.5m in January 2019. After scoring 16 goals in 41 appearances, the Pole was sold for 24 to Hertha, but lost to the Berliners’ overall mediocrity and eventually returned to Serie A twice on loan, before the step towards Turkey.
