Giggs was acquitted of the rape case against his ex-partner

Indulgent was the conclusion of the prosecution for the case of rape in which he was involved Ryan Giggs.

The Welsh legend of Manchester United was accused by his ex-partner, Kate Greville of assault and manipulative behavior against herwhile the indictment also included violence against her sister, Emma.

The trial had begun in the summer of 2022, with jurors then failing to reach a verdict.

Giggs did not appear in court in person, the prosecutor said “Kate Greville was unwilling to give new evidence at the retrial, saying the first time she did so had a negative impact on her and her sister.”

For his part, Giggs stated through his lawyer “Deeply relieved that the charges have been dropped after three years of trying to clear my name.”

It is recalled that the 49-year-old was on the bench of his country’s national team when the charges were brought, but he was removed in June 2022 for this reason.
