Last year you gave your credentials competing for Prometheus and a few days ago you became a member of the doubles of Greece, a team that is also a regular star in the Euroleague. What are your feelings?
“I feel great joy and excitement. Every kid my age dreams of being part of such a team at some point. So I’m very happy that this happened to me and that I have the opportunity to experience it!”
What are your goals?
“The one and only goal I have in mind is to work beyond my limits every day, to give 1000/100 of myself and to do justice to coach Bartzokas, the coaching staff and the Olympiakos organization that invested in me. I want to repay everyone for the trust they showed me.”
Did you imagine when you started playing basketball that at 21 you would be in a team of this level?
“Every kid who starts playing basketball has the goal of playing at the top level and I’m no exception. The truth is that I did not expect this to happen so quickly, however, from the moment it came I am particularly happy and ready to do whatever it takes to prove that I deserve to be at Olympiakos”.
You have been a teammate with Michalis Luntzis. Did you talk after signing your new contract? Is he the one who will help you acclimatize?
“With Michalis, through our coexistence at Prometheus, we developed a very good close friendly relationship. He is one of the people I consider to be one of my very good friends. Our relationship is beyond the basketball context. We have daily contact. We certainly talked before the signing of the contract, but also after. He already welcomed me to the team. For me he is one of the best, if not the best kid in Greek basketball! Knowing that from the first day I will have my own person in the team is very important and will definitely help me a lot”.
