“AEK is very pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with Iota Chatzicharistou! The 22-year-old athlete (14/11/2000) competes as a goalkeeper, has a height of 1.75 m and is part of the women’s Football team of the Club.
Iota, who comes from Serres, has played for Panserraiki, Amazons Drama, Lokomotiv Plovdiv (with whom she finished in second place in the Bulgarian league), but also for PAOK, where she was last year. She has won 3 Greek Championships, while she has been an international player since 2015, competing at the National level (U17-U19). Since 2020 he is a member of our National team.
After the agreement was formalized, Yota Hadjicharistou said to aek.gr: “I am very happy that this year I will be playing for AEK, in a very important year for the club, as it completes 100 years of history. I want to thank Mr. Alexiou and Mr. Christopoulos for their trust in me and the decision to include me in the team’s roster in its first year in the first division.
