THE Dimitris Hatzichristos, historical leader of the “Original 21”, spoke to the “FOS” newspaper about the murderous hooligan attack in New Philadelphia. He spoke not about fans, but about… a terrorist organization, he denounced the attitude of the police, while he wished that there would be no reprisals from its fans AEK for the murder of Michalis.

About the incidents and the killing of the fan: “It is clearly a matter for the police. It’s 100% the police’s fault. They are not fans, they are a terrorist organization, they have done this before, they are landing in other countries as well, they are using the sporting event to make a fool of themselves. It’s not a fan organization, it’s a murderous one. It is inextricably linked to the mal… that they have in their heads with the fascist extremes”.
For the fact that they crossed the country from the national highway and entered ISAP with hoods: “The police had found out about it, I knew about it since noon. And I didn’t need to know them, I was sure they would happen. However, because I learned that they are coming, I contacted PAE AEK and got the assurance that they are being monitored from the border. How the police lost them afterwards, only they know…”
Regarding the involvement of Panathinaikos fans: “The Croats were in collaboration with some Panathinaikos. Let’s not sack all Panathinaikos”.
On how they “fooled” the police: “Are the police being fooled? The police are only fooled if they want to be fooled. This is what my experience has taught me over so many years on the pitches.”
On whether fan violence will ever end: “Never. It will only end when the police want it to.”
Why didn’t people wait for the Croats outside the stadium, since they knew it: “I don’t want to say we should have been 2,000 outside the stadium. It is not right for me to say such a thing. So what would we do, replace the police? Didn’t the police know that AEK fans knew?”
On whether he foresees a feud between AEK and Panathinaikos fans: “I hope it doesn’t break out and the green ones don’t burn together with the dry ones. It does not mean that any Panathinaikos they find should be crushed in retaliation. But some Panathinaikos go out on social media and brag and write “I was there too with our Croatian brothers”. Are they aware of what they are doing? For years, the Panathinaikos hung the banners with the murdered Filopoulos… I hope we don’t become AEKtzis murderers, that’s what I have to say. They have been done by other teams, we shouldn’t”.
