“He’s eager to learn and a huge football fan. He likes old strikers. When we were in the hotel room we watched videos of Teddy Sheringham, Andrei Shevchenko, Ruud van Nistelrooy for hours. Then he looked at their finishes and how they moved along the lines. He was such a kid. He always wanted to be better. I didn’t expect anything like that though.
He came to PAOK as a player who wanted to dribble, but our coach insisted that he had to train at the end. I had many discussions with him about how to score more goals. At PAOK he learned to play with men and that he should not just play well but be productive.
I read that Pierre van Hoydonk said that Chuba is good with the head. Well, that’s definitely true. I don’t know many guys who can play with their head better.
Tsumba comes from the Arsenal school and I think it’s comparable to the Ajax school. Both teams love possession. I think it will be an asset for Ajax.
