In August 2021, he signed for his country’s Dugopolje, in whose shirt he scored eleven goals and provided six assists in 26 games.
The following summer he was acquired by Maribor and his first season in Slovenia was also the most fulfilling of his career.
The finale of the 2022-2023 season found him having made 46 appearances in the league, cup, Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifiers, providing 13 assists and scoring eight goals.
This year he was key and irreplaceable in the Conference League qualifiers (six appearances, two goals and one assist), while he also made one appearance in the league, having an assist in the 0-4 win against Radomlje.
Brinic is international with Croatia’s minor national teams U15, U17, U19 and U20.
