Clearly irritated by (in his opinion) the refereeing against Manchester United in the away game against Tottenham, Bruno Fernandes presented himself.
The Red Devils captain appeared confident his side had been wronged in the 26th minute when Spurs centre-back Christian Romero found the ball with his hand inside the area.
In fact, the Portuguese midfielder said that an official apology should be made to Erik Ten Haag’s team, just as Wolves were asked for the “Old Trafford” phase the previous matchday.
“You have to ask the referee,” he initially told Stadium Astro when asked for his opinion on the refereeing of the match.
“They should also start giving interviews after games so they can explain their decisions themselves“, continues.
“It was a clear penalty. There are no excuses and neither the referee nor the VAR can say they didn’t see it“, burst out the 28-year-old midfielder.
“Last week they made a big deal about the penalty that was not awarded to United. I want to see what happens this week and if it will be the same show as last. I want to see if John Moss (acting head of PGMOL, the body responsible for refereeing Premier League matches) will come to our dressing room and apologize, as he did with the Wolves manager. I hope he comes“, the leader of the 20-time champions of England concluded, visibly angry.
