The Argentinian forward spoke about the proposals he received from Saudi Arabian teams and also about his short career at Juventus, Angel Di Mariaon his country’s radio station “DSports Radio”.
Although many players have decided this summer to continue their careers in the Middle East, it was Di Maria who ‘turned down’ offers from Saudi Arabian clubs, with the Argentine claiming to ‘DSports Radio’ that he had received several offers from her clubs Saudi Pro League.
Among other things, the Benfica striker also spoke about his short run in the Italian league with the Benfica jersey Juventus.
In detail what he said to the radio station:
“I had several offers from Saudi Arabian teams. The offers were amazing, but I chose with my heart and so I decided to return to Benfica.
It was a very difficult year for Juventus. I never understood what happens in the club during the season. I tried to understand and do my duty when I had to play.
I hadn’t fought hard enough and in the end I was upset. I had several conversations with the Juventus people and I realized that sometimes words have no value”
