Pomaski: “Tedoglou is a real “executor”, he couldn’t miss this medal”

For the gold medal won by Miltos Tendoglou in the final of the length at the World Championship in Budapest wrote on the SEGAS channel o George Pomaski.

The coach of the 25-year-old super champion insisted on the fact that he is a real… performer, while he added that the gold in question should not to escape them, which they did in practice.

What Giorgos Pomaski wrote in detail:

“Miltos Tedoglou proved in a very difficult match what a great athlete he is. He had to react three times and he succeeded! A real performer!

He has a unique ability to be able to fully control the timing, speed, technique, swing in his jumps. He knows exactly where he is and what his body is doing. The element I add to Milto over the race is confirmation, as far as the technical part is concerned.

Before the final started we expected him to reach these levels to challenge for the gold medal. We knew we needed to take a risk, “close” the time and get the perfect execution, because with a small performance he couldn’t win.

The conditions of the final were not easy at all for the athletes. It was very hot and everyone was coming off their last strong workouts, so some cramping came out and most people “emptied” once they got a good jump. The only one who kept the level high until the end was Miltos, and this is a result of our preparation and the many repetitions we did.

We counted Pinnock as one of the main contenders, as were the other Caribbean and Indian kids who didn’t get the match.

This was a medal that, based on the training we have done, should not have escaped us. I felt sure that he would succeed, a confidence that comes from him.

Now Miltos achieved the grand slam of athletics (s.s.: Olympic Games, world and European open and indoor athletics). But, as we usually say, better than a one-time Olympian is a two-time Olympian.”
