AEK-Panserraikos: In the battle and the champions, with a full rotation against the dangerous Serrai

On Saturday night (26/8, 9:30 p.m.) AEK defends the first of the two titles it won last season, which hosts OPAP Arena Panserraikos in the framework of the 2nd round of the Stoiximan Super League.

Essentially, this matchup constitutes the premiere of the doubles in the new league, as the match against Panaitolikos for the 1st matchday was postponed due to the rematch with Dinamo Zagreb that had been moved to that day. In “Enos”, for now, they want to put aside the crucial match on Wednesday (30/8) with Antwerp, who will judge the qualification to the “golden” groups of the Champions League. It is recalled that AEK was defeated 1-0 in Antwerp on Tuesday (22/8) despite their good performance. At the moment, however, everyone in its ranks is focused on the match against the team of Serres, so that the start in the League will be made with the… right hand.

On the other hand, Panserraikos competed in the premiere, knowing the defeat (2-0) by Olympic behind closed doors “G. Karaiskakis”. However, the “lions” showed excellent examples of writing – fighting even from the 4th minute with a player less (while they also had a missed penalty) – but also that they can be a “tough nut” against any opponent.

In the competitive part, Matias Almeida expected to proceed to extended rotation in view of Antwerp, taking advantage of the depth that the “Union” has in its roster.
