Topalidis, Filippou, Karman are golden in Hungary

On Sunday, August 27, it ended in Debrecen, Hungary Central European Championship which at the same time is the third Benelli Grand Prix for 2023. The Greek team of the category Modified consisting of Topalidi Yiannis, Filippou Giorgos and Karman Yiannis managed to get it gold medal in the team leaving the Czech Republic in second place with Witt, Bures and Schmidt, while Poland took the bronze with Bolek, Jarosiewicz, Kozinski and Ostrowski, leaving Serbia and Italy out of the podium.

At the individual level, the legendary world champion in the three shouldered weapons, shotgun, PCC and rifle stood out from Finland, Raine Peltokoski, who won two golds in Modifiedwhile followed Yiannis Topalidis with a silver and a bronzethe Italian Sgabbato with a silver and the experienced Serbian Goran Jankovic with a bronze, while Filippou and Carman narrowly missed out on an individual medal but left very positive impressions due to their excellent performance.

In the category Open the Greek team had the most experienced ones Karalakis Manolis, Grigoriadis Diamantis and the young Koumbetsos Dionysis who managed to get it silver medal in the teamin a category dominated by the Poles after they took the first three places in the individual with Tausiewicz, Lozik and Niewiadomski.

In Standard the Englishman Kenny came first with the Finnish Lepanen second and the Polish Marcela third.

End of Standard Manual there was a surprise with the Spanish Davide taking his first gold in a major event, leaving the Poles Skalaski and Borkowski second and third.

Entering the final stretch for the World Championship in Thailand, the Greek shooters will participate in the National competition in Italy at the end of October, hoping for another good performance.
