Kalogirou wins bronze medal at the World Tae-kwon-do for boys and girls

A few days after the three medals won by the teenagers at the European Youth Taekwondo Championships in Estonia, Greece celebrated winning a bronze world medal, with Paraskevi Kalogirou in the -148cm (-45kg) category ).

The Greek champion, in her second participation in the girls’ world championship, reached third place, in a category where a total of 25 athletes participated. In the semi-finals and against Italian Lambis, Kalogirou won the first period, but did not do as well in the next two, resulting in a 2-1 score to take third place, giving Greek tae-kwon-do fifth place of the medal in the history of the event.
