In the World Table Tennis Feeder of Bulgaria, which starts on Tuesday and ends next Sunday in Panagiouriste, Bulgaria, the executives of the National Table Tennis Women, Katerina Toliou, Elisavet Terpou, Malamatenia Papadimitriou and Dimitra-Thomais Tsekoura will take part.
The last three traveled to the neighboring country on Monday, as they begin their campaign on Tuesday, while Toliou, who will compete only in the singles and is directly in the main draw, will leave on Wednesday, while there is no coach in the team.
The Bulgarian Feeder gives the opportunity to all the athletes of the “old continent” to simultaneously do a strong test for the upcoming European Team Championship (Malmo, Sweden 10-17/09), while for the Greek side there is also the Balkan Championship of all competitions also in Bulgaria.
This is why Papadimitriou and Tsekoura will not return to Athens after the tournament and will be directly in Albena, which hosts the event, September 2-6.
All individual competitions will be held in the impressive “Arena Asarel” of Panagiouriste. Apart from the intense competitive presence of our athletes, it is also important that there will again be a Greek duo in doubles, something that has been happening for a long time.
Terpou and Papadimitriou will test their strength in the women’s doubles, while in the list of participations in each event the world federation of the sport states that our two champions will also be directly on the board of “64” in the singles, as Tolium.
Tsekura will go through the qualifying rounds of the women’s singles.
