Panathinaikos fell headfirst and continues in the Europa League!

THE Panathinaikos defeated again by Bragathis time with 0-1in the crowded and pulsating Olympic stadiumin the second leg of the 2-1, in the playoffs of the Champions League and was eliminated from the groups of the competition.

THE Panathinaikos lined up having two changes compared to the first match, formation the 4-3-3, Brignoli in goal and Vagiannidis, Gedvai, Magnuson and Huancar at the back. While Ruben, Vilena and Bernard were the inside midfielders, Palacios-Mancini on the “wings” and promoted Ioannidis.

THE Braga on the other hand it also “came down” with two new faces, system 4-3-3 and Mateus under the goalposts. The match:

Panathinaikos entered the game with… momentum, taking advantage of the atmosphere in OAKA, to see Ioannidis catch up to Mateus’ exit, to head the ball but the ball went wide, just after 1′. Going towards the end of the half, Panathinaikos was doubly unlucky. Initially in the 43′, with the forced change of the injured Jedvai with Schenkefeld. The second half started with Braga losing Niacate to injury in the 49th minute and the “clover” looking for the goal with the same momentum, once again getting close to it. In 54′, specifically, when Bernard counter-attacked with a nice cross into the empty space from the right to Palasios, who shot from the side from inside the area, forcing Mateus to save with difficulty!

Just after the hour mark, Ivan Jovanovic made a double change, with Aitor replacing Palacios but going left and Mancini switching wings, while Sporar replaced Ioannidis to “freshen up” his team .

MVP: THE Bruma he encountered problems especially in the first half from Vagiannidis, who dealt with him effectively in defense as well.
