Panathinaikos announced the schedule of this year’s friendly preparations. Ergin Ataman’s side will begin their campaign in Slovenia, where they will play the main stage, with games against KK Krka Novo mesto and Cedevita Olimpija.
The first friendly on Greek soil will be played against Peristeri bwin, with whom they will face twice and then they will go to Rhodes, for the Nick Galis International Touyrnament.
The preparation will be completed with the established “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament, which this year will be held with the presence of Anatolou Efes, Partizan and Bayern.
In detail, the announcement:
“The Panathinaikos team will leave for Kranjska Gora, Slovenia on Friday afternoon (1/9), where the main stage of the team’s preparation will take place until September 8.
On 4/9 the greens will face KK Krka Novo mesto in a friendly match and on 7/9 they will play against Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana.
On September 8, the team will return to Athens and the following day (9/9) they will face the Romanian U-BT Cluj Napoca in the framework of the “Nikos Fassouras” tournament in Peristeri. On September 10, Ergin Ataman’s team will face Peristeri bwin on the last day of this particular tournament, while on September 13, there will be another friendly game with the Western Suburbs team.
On the two days of 16-17/9, Panathinaikos will be in Rhodes to participate in the international tournament “NICK GALIS INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT” with the participation of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and Fenerbahce BEKO Istanbul. On Saturday 16/9 they will face Fenerbahce BEKO Istanbul and on Sunday 17/9 they will face Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.
The 5th “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament dominates the program of friendly preparations, which will take place at OAKA on the two days of September 23-24, 2023, in memory of the leading player of the Association.
Anadolu Efes, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade and Bayern Munich responded positively to the invitation of KAE Panathinaikos and on the two days of September 23-24 they will be in Athens in order to participate in this great tournament, which has now become an institution.
