Othello Hunter retired from basketball

The decision to stop basketball was made by Othello Hunter.

At 37 years old, his former center Olympiakou announced his retirement via social media.

After starting his career with the Atlanta Hawks, the American center played for Elysian, Sassari, Shandong Lions, Mariopol, Valladolid, Jiangsu Dragons, Siena, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Bayern Munich.

He won one Euroleague (2019), two championships Greece (2015, 2016), two VTB League championships, two Israeli championships, one Spanish Cup and one Italian Super Cup.

As for his performances in the Euroleague, he recorded 8.2 points and 5.2 rebounds averaged over 275 innings.

In the touching message of his departure Hunter wrote, among other things:

“For the next generation of athletes do not worry about what the next player will get.

Always worry about yourself and be the best you can be better ones.

Never stop to do you believe to yourself. Never remove workouts.

Keep working on art your”.
