After Antwerp’s great qualification over AEK in the Champions League, Mark Offermars tried to set the tone with his statements.
The Belgian club’s technical director was certainly happy for the success of the side he has built, but appeared grounded to enter the groups of the top club competition in what he said was a demanding season.

“It will be exciting. We will wait for the draw on Thursday and then see what happens. Qualifying for the Champions League groups doesn’t really change anything. You don’t need to get a player, who will now have added value. If that’s going to happen, then we’d better wait until December“, he added.
And he concluded by saying:Expectations are very high right now. What I can tell you now is that it will be a difficult and demanding year. And if we want to progress, the pitch will have to be finished. Otherwise the plan will not work».
