As usual, Foinikas Syros will also be present in this year’s Men’s Volleyball League. The “pirates” announced on Friday that their main sponsor, ONEX, will normally support TAA again, while they thanked the local bodies and the people of the Cycladic island for their financial assistance.
In detail, the announcement:
“Dear members, friends and supporters of the group, until today the new administration of TAA has addressed you, with public invitations, asking you to support the effort to settle the financial obligations left by the previous administration, but also the great effort to find the resources to finance the team for the new 2023-2024 season.
After a summer, with personal sacrifices from all of us, unprecedented procedures, constantly overcoming difficulties and intractable problems, surprises, pressures and ‘banks’ in our efforts, but with the generous assistance of ONEX and Mr. Panos Xenokostas once more , who undertook the repayment of the large financial debts handed over to us, we are pleased to announce the participation of the men’s division in the A1 National category!!
For the new season we want to express our gratitude to the local community that trusted us and, with the small and large sponsorships, helped us keep AO Phoinikas Syros in the A1 National category.
Our vision is to bring back the historical team of AO Finikas Syros where it deserves, to bring our world back to the field and to live together in this new era of the team. “AO PHONIKAS SYRO” “One island one team” with soul and pulse”!!
