A call to the world addressed by Stefanos Tsitsipas for the tennis matches that will be hosted for the first time in history at the Panathenaic Stadium. These are the matches of the National team with Slovenia, for Group I of the Davis Cup, scheduled for the two days of September 16 & 17.
“A childhood dream of mine will come true next month“, the 25-year-old tennis player said in his statements on the official page of the Hellenic Tennis Federation and added:
“In September I will have the opportunity to compete with our national team at the Panathinaikos Stadium, in the meeting with Slovakia for the Davis Cup. In the venue where the first modern Olympic Games were hosted, tennis matches will be held for the first time for the sport’s top event at the level of National Teams».
Through his statements, he called on the world to attend the historic match, stressing its importance:I am sure that the image from Kallimarmaro will travel around the world, advertising our country. At the same time, it will be proven once again that Greece can organize great sporting events.
